New Finds - Gary Dee Bradford

Been Looking for this one for a while! After being introduced to Gary through his first album, "Sings For You and You and You", I've had my eye out for this record. With the great title, "I'm Not Handicapped... Just Inconvenienced", I finally found it at my neighborhood thrift today (for 20 cents, no less!). I also picked up yet another copy of "Sings For You..." -- Its one of those records I can't pass up even though I already have like 3 copies.

Gary (Dee) Bradford, from Baytown, Texas, was born without arms. He had a twin brother, similarly inconvenienced, who died in infancy. But Gary went on to a career as a businessman and minister. He used to have a website for his ministry with his whole story on it, but it seems to have disappeared.

In the meantime, he's been active suing the University of Houston and other businesses over handicapped inconvenienced accessibility issues. Here's video of Gary talking about his UH lawsuit.

I'd never seen the back cover of this one before. Imagine my delight to find Gary with a ventriloqiost dummy! As any longtime viewer of BizarreRecords knows, one of my favorite genres of album cover!

Sorry, no audio clips, but if you can listen to one off his old album on my earlier page.
